a visual exploration of poems through personal experiences and moments taking you on a journey of seasons

i don’t even know where to begin. i started writing poetry in middle school grade. it saved my life even when i didn’t understand how. i turned words into prayers and held hands with the deepest parts of myself. every now and again i get writers block but not reallllly. you just do it. i write because safety. serenity. stillness. to sit with silence and still make noise. everything i do is personal. i began writing home as a freshman in college. i was such a different person back then. i saw the world as a playground. i ran and jumped everywhere. a couple years ago, I rediscovered my childhood camera, zooming in and out of the lens to find the missing pieces of myself. i am so grateful for the words that got me here.

from the bottom of my heart,

thank you for being here. for choosing to share your time with me. i hope this film brings you a slice of home– a quiet morning, the smell of fresh laundry, coffee in a mug, spending time with a loved one–i want to thank all of my friends + family who have supported me over the years. your unconditional love moves me. i am forever grateful for you. our connection is special, no matter how big or small. you are my family. thank you for being a part of my home.
